Interchangeable Valve Stems

Since 2006, our ISO 14001, TS 16949 certified factory has been manufacturing TPMS valve stems, service kits and accessories. Today, with millions of valve stems and service kits installed on vehicles throughout North America, we continue to invest in TPMS technology infrastructure with advanced R&D and manufacturing capabilities. The Patented attachment design provides the ultimate in installer flexibility to match the valve stem for the customer vehicle or preference.

TPMS Programmable Sensor 315 MHz

STEELMAN® Select Sensor part numbers 97356 and 97358 are supplied with a rubber snap-in valve (part number 97353). The Rubber snap-in valve stems are designed for use in applications up to a maximum of 80 psi (5.51 bar, 551 kPA) cold inflation pressure and 130 MPH (209 km/h) max speed. For vehicle applications requiring higher than 80 psi cold inflation pressure and/or higher than 130 MPH speed rating, the valve stem MUST be changed to the aluminum or chrome metal clamp-in valve stem (part numbers: Silver Aluminum 97354, Black Aluminum 99064, Chrome 97336).

  • The Chip

    The Infineon SP37 is a highly integrated device which performs all necessary functions for a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) wheel module suited for high-volume applications. The device contains the sensing elements, the microcontroller, the LF receiver, the RF transmitter and more in one package requiring only few external components to complete a TPMS module. Since 2003, more than 150 million TPMS sensors of Infineon’s continuously improved product generations were sold worldwide. The tire sensor design of the SP37 is based upon Infineon’s patented bulk micro-machined sensing technology which allows highly reliable measurements in harsh environments. The SP37 measures pressure, radial acceleration, temperature and supply voltage. The device is compliant to the RoHS standard, with a pressure range up to 900kPa.
  • The Battery

    STEELMAN Select Sensors use a Hitachi/Maxell model CR2050HR heat resistant UL listed battery. This same battery is used in many OE sensors. These heat resistant batteries have a special sealing technology and highly heat resistant materials that expand the operating temperature range compared to standard LiMnO₂ coin batteries.

STEEELMAN® SELECT SENSOR - LIMITED WARRANTY

JS Products, Inc. warrants that its STEELMAN products will be free from defects in material and workmanship in normal use for a period one year from the date of our shipment. Certain products such as the STEELMAN Select Sensor may have a different warranty, which is two years. JS Products will repair or replace, at its option, any warranted product returned to it that it determines to be defective.
